L'Chaim 03

This is a very special piece to me and is not for sale under any condition.

The large bead at the bottom is a hand made lamp work bead that I got from ym trip to Israel (in Jerusalem). The bead is made by teenagers that are given a second chance at making something of themselves. These are the kids that are found wondering the streets without a home or parents to guide them. This studio gives them a job making these beautiful beads by teaching the kids to work with glass. Every teen is paid fair wages for their work and given a place to live. I was told some of gone on to be great artisans of the trade.

The small Malachite beads are also from Israel, they were purchased in the same shop as the glass bead.

It is accented with 3mm Swarovski Bincones in emerald, and made with all Sterling Silver parts. I wanted something extra special for that bead, and I think I managed to make it stand out without going overboard.

All the little beads were hand wrapped onto the chain with sterling silver head pins

I'm going to get a new bail though, as this current one just isn't 'doing' it for me. It's not what I had originally designed.
